Learn more about my therapeutic approach

01

It begins with you

It begins with you and making therapy work for you. My practice is built on the foundation that my clients are the experts on their own experiences.  I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach and my sessions focus on finding out what works for you. Drawing from my clinical experience, I will adapt my approach to address your specific challenges, whether they involve anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or other challenges.

03

Evidence-based Psychological Therapy

Evidence-based Psychological Therapy
I am committed to offering evidence-based psychological therapies. This means offering you a type of psychotherapy that has been extensively researched, and proven effective to treat your specific difficulty. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), which provides evidence-based guidance on the best treatments available, says that cognitive behavioural psychotherapies are some of the most effective treatments for many different mental health problems.  Similar institutes across the US, Europe & Australia have found similar findings on the effectiveness of this group of therapies.

02

Psychological assesments

A psychological assessment is often the first step in therapy. This is a  collaborative process which involves identifying your needs and determining the most effective treatment approach. In some cases, we might use psychometric testing and clinically validated tools to better understand your challenges.

04

What are Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) are a family of evidence-based psychotherapies that have been widely researched and proven effective for treating a variety of mental health issues. Some of the therapies that belong to the CBT family include Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Schema Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Following the assessment process, we will discuss the therapeutic approach that might be best suited to you.
