haven ˈhā-vən
Synonyms of haven: harbour, port: a place of safety, a place offering favourable opportunities or conditions.
MindHaven Psychology evokes the idea of a safe and supportive space for your mind. A haven is a place of safety, a harbour. At MindHaven Psychology, my first aim is to offer you a safe and warm space—a harbour in life's sometimes choppy seas—where you can explore your difficulties. While this can be a challenging process, my approach to psychotherapy will create the right conditions for you to explore your mind and find your own inner port. While the immediate goal of therapy is often to relieve suffering, we will strive to create the right conditions for your personal growth and well-being
About Me
and my approach to Psychotherapy
My approach is grounded in building a trusting, supportive relationship and using evidence-based psychological therapies. I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies and draw upon a range of approaches from my experience in both the NHS and private practice. Therapy with me is a collaborative process — something we work on together, not something that’s done to you. Clients often value my ability to combine a thoughtful, clinical approach with warmth, honesty, and active support.
Whether you come to therapy with a clear concern, such as anxiety, OCD, trauma, or depression, or you’re unsure what’s causing your distress, I aim to offer a safe and supportive space to explore what’s going on for you.

Understanding Cognitive Behavioural Therapies: A Clear Path to Change
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is essentially a way of exploring how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected. At its heart, it is a practical, "here and now" approach that helps you understand how the way you think about a situation can affect how you feel and what you do. Instead of feeling stuck in old patterns, CBT gives you the tools to navigate life’s challenges with more confidence and ease.
Because everyone is unique, I draw from a "family" of evidence-based approaches to find what fits you best. This might include:
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT): Ideal for quietening a harsh inner critic and building self-kindness.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Focuses on staying present and taking action toward what truly matters to you.
Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT): Combines traditional CBT with mindfulness to help manage stress and prevent low moods.
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) & Schema Therapy: Helpful for understanding deeper emotional patterns and finding balance in your reactions.
How We Work Together
You don’t need to know exactly what you need right now. We will work together in a way that feels comfortable and right for your specific goals. CBT sessions can be carried out online, or from one of my locations in Kensington (Earl's Court) or Clapham.
